The Herd Dynamics Founder
Danielle McKinnon
Founder, Herd Dynamics | Teaching Horse Practitioner | Executive Coach | Strategic Changemaker
Danielle is an award-winning social entrepreneur, executive coach, and equine-assisted leadership expert with over 20 years of experience in coaching and facilitation. She founded Eat Sleep Ride SCIO which involved transforming a former landfill site into an award-winning equine-powered centre for social and environmental change. Later, she created HERD Dynamics to bring that same transformation to teams, leaders, and organisations.
A qualified Teaching Horse practitioner and undergraduate in Emotional Intelligence and Organisational Leadership, Danielle blends business acumen, trauma-informed approaches, and deep systems thinking. Her unique principle of shared leadership through connection shapes every programme, inspired by herd behaviour and the intelligence of horses. Her coaching journey began with marginalised young people and has grown to encompass entrepreneurs, women in leadership, CEOs, and global changemakers.
A Scottish EDGE winner, RBS Accelerator alumni, and Equine Assisted Development Network member, Danielle is known for her ability to hold safe spaces for emotional clarity, strategic direction, and bold collective visioning.
